This year's intake, aged from 16 to 27, will be trained in the traditional disciplines of heating and ventilation, plumbing and electrical installation at placements within Leeds College of Building.
Here they will learn under a bespoke programme devised by SES in collaboration with the College.
Alongside this they will put the theory into practice at SES sites across the country.
Each apprentice will be allocated to one of SES's 8 Business Units and could be working as far apart as The University of Teesside in the North East down to Brighton's Royal Alexandra Children's Hospital on the Sussex coastline.

Recognising the potential skills shortage and the implications to not only SES but also the Industry as a whole, SES undertook a strategic review of its training programme over 12 months ago.
The effects of this are now visible within the Business, which is producing a continuing flow of young Engineers with site-ready skills based on an educational foundation.
Christine Wright, Training Manager within SES, is responsible for the recruitment and training of the new apprentices, and commented, "Engineering can offer a fantastic career to young people, and within SES we have a comprehensive package with great progression prospects for each individual apprentice, which we believe is key to retaining a skilled and happy workforce.".
