SFS intec and K-Plast combine their business for the flat roof industry

SFS intec AG, Fastening Systems, with headquarters in CH-9435 Heerbrugg has acquired K-Plast AB, SE-645 42 Strangnas, a specialist in the development and manufacture of plastic moulded fastening elements for roofing insulation and membrane fastening systems with a leading position in Sweden, Denmark, Holland and the rapidly developing eastern European markets The existing distribution network for this range of products in the UK is expected to be unaffected

Colin Yeates of SFS intec comments: "The consequences of the Kyoto protocol are significantly increasing the need for thermally broken fixing solutions, the K-Plast business is complementary to our precision engineered steel fasteners, which are used across a wide range of roofing systems across Europe".

"K-Plast's experience in high performance plastic moulded fastening systems, especially widely used in commercial flat roofing, enables SFS intec to offer an even more comprehensive range to our customers." SFS intec will continue the successful business of K-Plast AB and the company will be operated under the same management as previously at the headquarters in Sweden.
