New Sarnafast Tube System
New SFT (Sarnafast Tube System) developed by SFS intec exclusively for Sarnafil ensures a completely effective thermal break for insulated membrane roofs.
The new SFT (Sarnafast Tube System) developed by SFS intec exclusively for Sarnafil ensures a completely effective thermal break for insulated membrane roofs while also delivering 30% greater resistance to wind uplift than the current system.
This enables contractors to meet the enhanced Part L requirements while potentially reducing the number of fasteners required.
The SFT comprises of the SBF-SQ3 Sarna screw preassembled to a nylon telescope tube either in 50mm barbed form for inseam fastening, or 20mm head form for Sarnabar or insulation attachment.
The new system can currently accommodate build ups in excess of 400mm, and with the special TI-Z10 screw can be used into concrete decks as well as steel and timber The low thermal conductivity of the nylon tube of the SFT ensures the compliance of the system within the current Part L and will ensure that future revisions can be accommodated.
Installation of the SFT system requires a dedicated tool, the TP10, 19 and 30, designed by SFS intec in collaboration with Sarnafil .
to prevent overdriving and possible heat damage caused by standard tooling.
The SFT fasteners are typical of the systems developed by SFS in collaboration with roofing system manufacturers to ensure the best possible performance of their products.
