SFS intec has appointed Derek Wray and Andrew Way to their Specification Advisor Team, with direct responsibility for liaising with roofing and cladding specifiers including Architects, Main Contractors and SFS systems suppliers such as Corus, Euroclad, Kingspan, Ward, Hathaway and Roofdec.

Derek comments: "Our principal brief is to demonstrate the benefits of specifying stainless steel fasteners as well as the additional benefits of the Security package regarding Part L2 and J regulations".

Andrew continues: "We can show that long term lifecycle maintenance costs of stainless steel for the building envelope make real economic sense, and are essential in today's building market.".

Derek Wray comes to SFS intec from Catnic Lite Tile, part of the Corus group, and has over 20 years in the building industry, starting work with a builders merchant.

He will cover the Northern half of the UK down to as far as Stoke-on-Trent.

Andrew Way worked for the UK office of Ruukki, formerly Rautaruukki, who manufactured Metal Building envelope solutions including Long Span Metal Decks and Composite Panels, and previously for Gasell, specialising in twin skin and rainscreen systems.

Andrew will cover Wales and the Southern half of the UK.
