Quicker and easier structural steel fastening

A SFS intec product story

SFS intec have revolutionised the tedious job of bolting together structural steel, such as profiled steel purlins, with the new SFS intec TDBL self tapping and centring screw fastener.

By applying their expertise in fastener design, SFS intec have revolutionised the tedious job of bolting together structural steel, such as profiled steel purlins, with the new SFS intec TDBL self tapping and centring screw fastener.

Suitable for steel sections up to 10mm thick in total, the TDBL allows bolting together in one operation from one side using one hand, without loss of strength or risk of coming loose.

The tapered shape of the SFS intec TDBL means that it automatically centres off-line pre-punched holes in purlins when inserted, saving time in aligning steel sections.

The TDBL forms thread in all thicknesses of steel up to 10mm, and only one diameter is required, saving on stockholding and inventory.

The TDBL is a single piece screw with an integral washer, so there are no components to mislay or drop - important when on-site assembly is required.

It is easy to insert with standard electric or pneumatic tools, using a proprietary hex head, and will tighten on thin steel without over-torqueing and compromising its strength.

The TDBL is designed with a special thread configuration which prevents it loosening accidentally.

No nut is needed or a second hand to hold a spanner, which greatly speeds and simplifies work on-site, or where access is awkward.
