A SFS intec product story

New range of fixing clamps from SFS intec offers architects and interior designers a new perspective on glass facades and other architectural glazing.

The new ALW clamping system eliminates the need to drill the glass using specifically designed clamps, combining functionality and contemporary aesthetics - ideal for external and internal architectural designs.

The newly developed glass fixing system allows the panes of glass to simply slot into the ALW clamps, which are then adjusted to secure the panes in place with minimal pane overlap creating a sleek, streamlined appearance.

"The ALW clamp has been designed to offer a functional yet aesthetically pleasing product", says SFS intec's director Glen Wainwright.

"The glass facade is a practical solution to a number of applications, but with our new system we can also satisfy an architectural need to design contemporary, appealing facades that will meet the practical need and look great".

The ALW clamp system is suitable for a range of applications including facades, rainscreens, stairwells, lift shafts, viewing terraces, sun-protection screens and safety screens.

The ALW system can accommodate single and laminated glass thicknesses from 8mm to 18mm, or a range of alternative materials including acrylics and polycarbonates, offering greater scope within architectural design.

The high-quality aluminium system offers further adaptability as the single and double ALW clamps can easily be fitted to a range of substrates including steel, aluminium and timber and with an extensive range of RAL colours and anodised finishes available, each project can be individually colour-matched.
