Teachers, parents and school children can't miss the new classroom block at Glan Afan Comprehensive School on Station Road, Port Talbot - thanks to Senior Aluminium Systems (SAS).

Powder coated pillar box red, the two-storey building features a large glazed front entrance incorporating SAS' SCW high performance curtain wall and SD doors that form part of the demanding specifications required by the school.

Rows of SAS' lightweight high performance SX 200 windows run on both building levels.

Specified to be thermally broken and double glazed, they were also installed by fabricator Alurite .

"We have a good working partnership with SAS which has spanned many years," said Dave Farnham of Alurite.

"The service they offer is always reliable and efficient." With over 700 pupils, Glan Afan school is a mixed 11 - 16 comprehensive, which has served the town of Port Talbot and its surrounding area for over 110 years.

It has an excellent record of success in education, sporting and cultural fields.
