Senior Architectural provides curtain wall screen

A Senior Architectural Systems product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Feb 17, 2010

A decommissioned Concorde aircraft on display at Manchester Airport can be viewed through an aluminium curtain wall screen supplied by Senior Architectural Systems.

Concorde was built entirely of aluminium which offered a very high strength to weight ratio, similar to the properties required today in our modern fenestration design.

The 2.5m mullion span, 9.3m high curtain wall system was supplied in Seniors SCW curtain wall system, and the installation was undertaken by Elite Aluminium Systems of Walsall.

The wide mullion spacings across the 25m wide facade offers visitors a clear view of Concorde as it overlooks the main runway at Manchester Airport.
