Determined to help specifiers reduce the time required to install ventilated rainscreen cladding, and to make life easier for contractors on site, Shackerley has developed the Sureclad Ladder System (patent pending).

This prefabricated support system has been developed primarily for use with Shackerley's hardwearing and lightweight ceramic granite slabs but can also be used in conjunction with other more conventional cladding materials.

Each Sureclad Ladder is designed and manufactured to order under strict quality control conditions at Shackerley's Lancashire factory and delivered to site in pre-assembled sections to allow rapid positioning and installation.

These bespoke prefabricated frameworks are engineered in high-grade aluminium alloy and stainless steel for durability in service.

Vertical box section components are locked together using specially profiled jointing pieces allowing for rapid preliminary levelling and face alignment before the primary support brackets are secured to the structure.

The Sureclad horizontal rails boast a unique profile which allows for quick and easy removal of individual slabs for maintenance access or replacement if required.

A range of different bracket types can be used to determine the ventilated airspace behind the rainscreen panels to suit the particular building design and to optimise the insulating properties of the cladding.

Saving further construction time on site, Shackerley's ceramic granite slabs can be supplied pre-drilled, ready to accept the company's patented undercut mechanical 'anchors', or fitted with Sureclad support straps fitted.

Making the fixing task simpler still for the contracting team, specially worked ceramic granite slabs can be supplied for soffits, cills, reveals and other architectural aspects.

For fast-track construction of columns and similar features, Shackerley can also supply bonded and polished prefabricated one piece units.
