Ceramic Granite Meets University Challenge
Shackerley Holdings Group Limited has helped Boyes Rees Architects to realise a spectacular design concept for a brand new state of the art Digital Technium building.
Available in an extensive range of colours, sizes and finishes, Shackerley's ceramic granite slabs and tiles can be manufactured to resemble almost any type of naturally quarried stone.
RAINSCREENS.

A first for Shackerley cladding at Bath
Shackerley has achieved a 'First' by supplying a Sureclad ventilated ceramic granite rainscreen cladding system for Waterside Court, a residential development built for Bath Spa University College.
Its inherent strength and consistency mean that slabs of just 12mm thick will offer exceptional building protection.
Compared with naturally quarried stone, the loadings on the substructure and building exterior are dramatically reduced.
Shackerley's new Sureclad brochure highlights many of its prestigious rainscreen cladding projects, including the Hilton Hotel extension at Gatwick airport, the new office complex built for Sage plc in Newcastle, the Digital Technium Building in Swansea and the new Faculty of Health and Social Care at Salford University.
FLOORING.
Interbuild gives Shackerley a launch platform for 'Track', a new 'anti-slip' ceramic granite floor tile primarily designed for passenger transport facilities such as London Underground stations, bus termini, railway stations and other heavy traffic areas where public safety, longevity and ease of maintenance are key specification criteria.
Shackerley's new tile contains through body corundum, second only in hardness to diamond.
This further reinforces Track's durability, but more importantly provides excellent dynamic co-efficient of friction values, in semi-exposed areas as well as enclosed concourses.
By varying the corundum to ceramic granite ratio, Shackerley is able to offer the new floor finish with three different slip resistant surface values.
Track is available in 300 x 300 x 12mm tile formats and in a choice of six standard colours.
