Shackerley offers new CPD accredited seminar on ceramic granite ventilated rainscreen systems

Lancashire manufacturer Shackerley (Holdings) Group Limited has joined the ranks of accredited CPD providers with a new seminar targeted at architects and other specifiers seeking to enhance their knowledge of the use of ceramic granite in ventilated rainscreen cladding applications.

Certified by the Construction CPD Certification service, the new seminar entitled Ceramic Granite Rainscreen Cladding Systems has been designed to introduce specifiers to the technical and aesthetic suitability of fully vitrified ceramic granite as a high performance exterior cladding material.

The hour-long presentation reveals how Shackerley's own Sureclad systems enable large format slabs of this exceptionally hardwearing and impermeable (Class B1A) material to be transformed into sleek monolithic ventilated rainscreen facades to enhance, protect and insulate new and refurbished buildings of all types.

Seminar attendees learn how ceramic granite is manufactured, using only natural constituents (and no bonding agents), and discover the vast array of colours, finishes and formats available.

They are shown how each slab undergoes a specialist prefabrication process at Shackerley's Lancashire factories, and how the company's patented undercut anchors and metal straps provide a secure, stress free mechanical fix to the rainscreen substructure.

Different versions of Shackerley's patented Sureclad carrier system are explained, and their features, benefits and specific applications are explored.
