Schneider Electric has had its PowerLogic range of automatic power monitoring and metering equipment approved for inclusion on the Energy Technology List by the Carbon Trust.

Businesses that invest in products on the List benefit from 100 per cent capital allowances on their expenditure in the first year PowerLogic is the industry's most comprehensive and sophisticated power management system able to meet any metering or monitoring requirement

It comprises a wide range of intelligent components such as the EGX web serving Ethernet gateway offering basic energy management, the PowerServer automatic power monitoring system, various power meters and associated software.

These can be integrated in an electrical distribution system enabling users to reduce downtime, cut energy costs and help maintain power quality.

Comments Richard Hipkiss, Marketing Manager, Emerging Technologies: "Having our PowerLogic range included on The Energy Technology List sends an important message to our customers: we provide equipment with cutting edge technology to help tackle energy consumption effectively".

PowerLogic joins a number of other Schneider Electric products on The Energy Technology List such as the complete range of Altivar variable speed drives (VSDs) from Telemecanique, a brand of Schneider Electric.

The latest Altivar VSDs feature web-enabled technology to enhance communication and integration at device level.

By using the Web, HTML pages can be stored within the drive, bringing the technology to device level and linking with an integrated Building Management System, such as Schneider Electric's Transparent Building, to give users a higher degree of communication and control.
