Merlin Gerin has launched its Prisma Plus range of switchboards to give end-users greater flexibility over low voltage electrical distribution and control by allowing any combination of Merlin Gerin or Telemecanique devices to be fitted to meet individual requirements.
Prisma Plus is available in both wall-mounted and free-standing versions with a maximum rating of 3,200 A from IP30 to IP55.
Prisma Plus can be supplied as a Type Tested Assembly (TTA).
For projects with short deadlines Merlin Gerin provides prefabricated tested solutions for distribution, power and auxiliary connections.
Prisma Plus is built up with different components to meet an end-user's exact needs.
The switchboard can include automation, switchgear, motor controls and other control devices for both the industrial and commercial sectors.
Comments Bob Spice, Product Marketing Manager: "Prisma Plus is very flexible for any application, since a unit can combine, for example, miniature circuit breakers, moulded case breakers and control devices in a single unit".
The Prisma Plus layout reflects the wiring diagram giving logical and simple identification of devices.
Prisma Plus features dedicated zones for the panelbuilder, installer or cabling contractor and the end user.
Once installed, Prisma Plus can be adapted to meet changing requirements by, for example adding or removing feeders and changing the IP rating.
Schneider Electric is involved in the complete electrical and mechanical chain and provides the optimum in integrated electrical solutions through its three global brands - Merlin Gerin, Square D, and Telemecanique.
Prisma Plus will be available to order from 1 September and will feature as part of Schneider Electric's display on stand 540 during the Building Performance show at London Olympia on 6 and 7 October 2004.
Prisma Plus will be available as one of two systems - G System and P System - replacing all existing Prisma products by the end of 2006.
