Tour Andover Controls has announced the release of TAC Vista 4.3 that makes the company's building systems more open, more secure, more available and more user friendly than ever before.

Tour Andover Controls has announced the release of TAC Vista 4.3; a ground breaking new release that makes the company's building systems more open, more secure, more available and more user friendly than ever before.

The new release, developed in response to feedback from customers, includes significant enhancements to the Webstation and ScreenMate applications, in addition to enhancements to the database functionality.

Webstation The new Webstation web application is targeted to mobile and occasional operators.

Version 4.3 keeps the rich feature set from the earlier versions, but has been updated to be much more Internet-friendly, compatible with more operating systems and web browsers.

For applications with touch screen computers, significant improvements have been made in ease of use.

An extensive online help for the end user, as well as administration guide and a simple tool for configuration for the installer, is available.

The Webstation system requires no client downloads or installations of Tour Andover Controls specific software.

Only standard Internet protocols are used meaning firewalls or proxy server will not be in the way for the new Webstation.

For our pharmaceutical customers this new release means that they can now use web interfaces even in installations subject to 21 CFR Part 11 validation.

ScreenMate Based on the same technology as the new Webstation, the new ScreenMate's target users are users not normally involved with the building automation system.

Office staff, lab personnel, receptionists and others will find accessing the system to perform certain tasks very easy.

A now unlimited number of parameters can be presented to users in a clear and friendly way.

Users can also be given access to controlling parameters such as set-points or light levels.

Database Tour Andover Controls has updated the way TAC Vista stores historical information.

Trend logs and events, including the audit trail, is now stored in Microsoft SQL Server.

The included Microsoft SQL Server Desktop Edition, MSDE (subject to a 2GB database size limit), or the full Microsoft SQL Server can be used.

Benefits are higher performance and higher capacity for the event log and data storage is more reliable.

For IT departments, management of backup strategies is now consistent with standard practices reducing familiarization time.
