Market leading busbar range expands

Busbar trunking has a number of advantages over cable.
Most notable of these is the 'on-line' flexibility of busbar systems - equipment can be safely connected and disconnected without the need to switch the power off, resulting in less downtime and increased productivity.
Busbar is more energy efficient and carries a lower carbon footprint thanks to reduced use of copper and lower on-line heat losses (20-30% fewer joules).
The entire Canalis range boasts inherent IP55 ratings as standard, is sprinkler proof on the KB and KT ranges - making it ideal for public buildings, and is compliant with ROHS recommendations regarding the use of halogen-free materials which do not emit toxins in a fire.
The materials used in Canalis busbar systems are also 100% recyclable.
New additions to the Canalis lighting range include: KBL light fittings that enable quick connection for any lighting system; KBX light path for high level illumination; new fixing accessories giving a quick suspension system plus the introduction of straight lengths without tap-off points for increased competitiveness where light fittings are spaced out; as well as new supports enabling the simultaneous installation of the busbar with VDI circuits.
The Canalis power distribution ranges have also been extended to incorporate higher ratings on the KN range, now rated from 40A to 160A and the KS range, now rated from 100A to 1000A.
The redesigned tap-off units incorporate many new features making installation quicker and easier.

The power distribution ranges now also incorporate a white finish, in keeping with other Schneider Electric products.
