Siteco new light projector reflects a world-first
Siteco has launched its next generation of secondary lighting systems including what is believed to be the world's flattest facetted reflector.
This is compared to conventional low-glare louvered fittings that display a sudden divergence in brightness (as a luminaire close to the occupant will appear extremely bright while a fitting only a few metres away will appear quite dark) and stress the human eye which has to continually adapt to these extreme contrasts.
Where the previous Quadratures featured a series of "stripes" approximately 30cm apart, the new luminaires incorporate an unbroken, single finish to give the system an even more streamlined and elegant appearance.
At 37mm, Quadrature always featured an exceptionally flat housing but the extra transparency provided by this development in technology means the luminaire, when surface mounted, appears to almost hover in the room.
Siteco has also worked on the luminaire housing of white or grey extruded aluminium and introduced angular square edges as a striking but minimalist contrast to the softer, standard lightly domed long edges.
Either way, the glare-free benefits of these luminaires make them well suited for computer and CAD environments, and call and control centres, as the siting of the lamps within the luminaire, out of direct view from any angle, means they can be positioned immediately over workplaces.
