Roof Shop's competition puts the spotlight on treasured and long-established cafes loved by British builders and tradesman.

Launched last October, Roof Shop's search for the nations' favourite cafe is drawing to a close, but who will be crowned as 'Britain's Best Caff 2006/7'? .

Loved by the British builder and tradesman, the traditional 'caff' has become iconic within the construction industry, not wanting it to become a dying breed thanks to the many 'fast food' and European style coffee outlets popping up on every street corner, Roof Shop's competition has put the spotlight back on the countries treasured and long-established cafes.

Cafe customers have been given the chance over the past few months to vote for their favourite cafu, by handing in nomination forms to their nearest Roof Shop branch.

An astonishing 1,000 entrants nationwide have been received so far!.

Due to the immense response from voters and nominees, the deadline for voting has now closed, with short-listed cafes to be announced in the next couple of weeks.

With great service-led expertise on hand at every branch, Roof Shop can provide trades people with everything from joists to tiles to up-to-date technical, legislative advice.

More importantly every branch is able to offer 'on demand' product availability with over 40,000 lines, from pitched, flat and industrial roofing materials plus thousands of accessories.

Visits to the Roof Shop can easily be tied into the tradesmen's daily working life (following a pit stop at their favourite Caff!!).

"The Roof Shop has now become recognised as a one-stop solution for all tradesmen," said one of Roof Shop's Senior Branch Managers, "with readily available stock at every branch, the Roof Shop has now become part of the tradesman's daily life, in the same way that a visit to their local cafu is".

On March 15th, 2007 the competition will culminate in a lavish awards ceremony held at London Zoo.

Guest Comedian Speaker will be John Styles (son of the famous Nobby Stiles), the luncheon will award 8 regional cafes and nominators with top prizes, the overall national winner receiving the accolade of 'Britain's Best Caff 2006/7'.
