Top Marks For Trocal At The Priory School

A Sika product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Oct 22, 2003

The Priory School in Lincoln is top of the class thanks to a recently installed roof from Sika-Trocal.

After suffering for many years with roof leaks over the main classroom block, the school decided to remedy the situation.

They decided that minimum disruption and noise was essential as the classrooms would remain in use during the works.

After consultations with the Council, a Trocal SGK fleece-backed PVC single ply membrane was chosen, as the waterproofing could be adhered to the existing asphalt, creating minimum noise and disturbance.

As Trocal is permeable, it would also allow any moisture trapped in the existing asphalt to penetrate and escape.

The school awarded both the Contractor and Sika-Trocal ten out of ten for the completed roof.
