Sika Limited, market leader in polyurethane sealants and bonding, has recently refurbished all of the windows at a property named Elliott House in Ber Street, Norwich.

The external structure of the building consists of a concrete frame and pre-cast concrete cladding and numerous aluminium windows.

The problem, the Sika team faced, was failed perimeter window seals and eroded window frame cappings.

Sika's solution was to cut back the failed rubber cappings and to install new bonding and sealing with Sikaflex-PRO 2 HP.

The advantages of using Sikaflex-PRO 2HP for the Elliott House project were single part sealing, combined bonding and sealing of the window gaskets and easy installation against a concrete structure.
