Sikafloor sort slippery situation

Following a visit to inspect an existing Sikafloor slip resistant surface at the Royal Mail depot in Willesden North London, ADM Pura were convinced that a Sikafloor dry shake system would provide the solution to their problem.
As a result the 8,000 sq.m.
warehouse floor at the new Purfleet unit, where thousands of tons of processed food products are stored pending delivery, received a topping of Sikafloor MetalTop surface hardener.
Sikafloor MetalTop is a dry shake surface hardener containing specially graded non-oxidising metallic aggregates.
The mix is sprinkled onto the surface of the new, wet laser-screeded concrete floor slab using a dedicated automated spreader.
The surface was then powerfloated to create an ultra durable floor surface that is tougher than almost any other and has a BBA 25 year certificate.
To provide maximum slip resistance, the floor was given a chemical ageing treatment by specialist surface preparation company Texturcare.
This treatment increases the surface micro profile of the floor revealing the metallic aggregate which creates a greatly enhanced slip resistant surface.
The surface was then tested to a specified slip resistance coefficient.
The resulting plum coloured finished floor is attractive, extremely durable, retains the easy cleaning properties and satisfies the all-important safety demands.
