Bristol Flyover Wrapped Up With Sika
SikaWrap 300A, a strong and tough Aramid fabric wrap system, was recently chosen to protect the columns on Gypsy Lane Flyover on the A38 north of Bristol against vehicle impact damage.
"Whilst we have the same parent company we see no reason to merge the two companies," said Stephen.
"Sika-Trocal and Sarnafil have always co-existed and competed in the single ply roofing market, primarily servicing the needs of different clients and contractors.
The two companies will therefore keep doing what they do best - competing with completely separate products and sales teams." Stephen added that the aim was to build on the companies' existing strengths: "The high product quality will remain unchanged, we will continue to manufacture in the original production facilities: Sika-Trocal being made in Germany and Sarnafil in Switzerland." One of the most significant developments is the formation of a Sika UK Special Unit Roofing, which will be responsible for the growth of the Sika Roofing businesses in the UK including introducing new waterproofing innovations and possible further acquisitions.
