The Training School has a dedicated lecture room and a practical workshop area where demonstrations and hands on experience can be gained.
Courses will be run on-demand, where companies can arrange for their staff to attend for specialist training in their particular field, or as a pre-arranged direct mail programme covering specific subjects, where participants will be chosen on a first come first served basis.
Sika will be running a Flooring Deminar in September, which can take up to 20 people, followed by courses on 'Waterproofing / Damp-proofing' in October, 'Concrete Repair and Protective Coatings' in November and 'Sealants and Adhesives' in December, where up to 30 people can be accommodated on each.
The courses are under the control of the Contractor Business Unit's Technical Manager Gary Ken, who can be contacted at ken.gary@uk.sika.com.
The aim of the school is to supply training and increase technical competence within the construction industry, based around Sika products, with the target audience being both new and existing customers at both management and site levels.
Since the launch, successful courses have already been run on Resin Flooring, Distribution and the SikaTack Panel System.
