Sika launch new polyurethane flooring
screed
Sika has launched a new range of water based polyurethane flooring screeds and coatings, called Sikafloor-N Purcem.
The new range, called Sikafloor-N Purcem supersedes the earlier Sikafloor Purcem range and provides much faster application, much easier application and higher performance The range of six products is focused on serving the food sector where increasing hygiene regulations demand higher performance floor systems

The range is suitable for extreme environments, can be steam cleaned and produces a jointless surface that is slip and abrasion resistant.
Manufactured at the company's production unit in Welwyn Garden City, Sikafloor-N Purcem is one of the first products to come out of the newly formed Sika Technology and Research Centre.
It is here that the Sika 'Easy Trowel' technology has been developed that allows the application time to be dramatically reduced.
This is particularly beneficial for large industrial and food processing floors where Sikafloor-20N Purcem, a screed incorporating 'Easy Trowel' technology, is to be installed.
In field tests, contractors have found they can double the application rate providing massive cost and time benefits for both contractor and client.
Six products - eight colours.
The Sikafloor-N Purcem range comes in eight standard colours but as Product Engineer, Shaun Speers points out "While we have eight standard colours in stock we can create almost any colour with a minimum order quantity".

Sikafloor-20N Purcem - 'Easy Trowel' Screed Grade.
Sikafloor-21N Purcem - Self Smoothing Grade.
Sikafloor-22N Purcem - Broadcast Self Smoothing Grade.
Sikafloor-29N Purcem - Coving and Detail Grade.
Sikafloor-31N Purcem - Coating Grade.
Every product in the range is CE marked, VOC free and has the latest UK, US and European certification for food hygiene standards and fire safety regulations.
