Specification for two recently completed new abattoir construction projects included the Sikafloor Purcem system.
This creates a jointless surface that is highly resistant to chemicals, abrasion and mechanical wear, is slip resistant and steam-cleanable.
Two recent installations were at the newly built factory of Soy Magic UK, an international soy manufacturer in Grimsby and the new premises of seafood processors, Sea Lord Foods at Caistor in Lincolnshire.
Both installations were carried out by specialist contractors Grimsby Resin Floors .
Andrew Rees of GRF explained, "A regular concrete floor surface is not good enough to meet the exacting demands of the food processing industry".
"Sikafloor Purcem meets the industry standards and we have successfully installed the system in numerous food processing plants around the country".
