Restaurant floor surface renovated in
one day.
K Systems called in to renovate a floor surface at Ikea store in Edinburgh in the shortest possible time, so they specified Sikafloor Pronto as the ideal solution.
Sikafloor Pronto is probably the fastest curing floor screed available This multi component system is based on polymethyl methacrylic (pmma) - superglue technology and can be walked on just one hour after application, full cure is achieved after two hours
The problem floor was in the kitchen of the store's restaurant where the tiled floor was breaking down and becoming very greasy, creating health and safety slip risks and hygiene issues.
In just one day K Systems applied the primer, the screed coat filled with coloured quartz aggregate to create a decorative slip resistant surface and two seal coats.
If required, coloured chips may be added to the aggregate to create a more aesthetic appearance.
From start to finish, the total floor refurbishment was completed within 24 hours causing minimum disruption to the restaurant services.
