Sikafloor systems solve car park problems
Specialist car park decking systems from Sika have recently been used in the refurbishment of multi-storey car parks in Suffolk and Nottingham.
Probably the fastest curing flooring screed material available, Sikafloor Pronto is a 3-part, multi component system based on polymethyl methacrylic (pmma) - superglue technology.
In average temperature conditions Sikafloor Pronto can be walked on just one hour after application and achieves full cure after two hours.
It can be applied even in freezing conditions when a four hour cure can be expected.
The two part resin/hardener mix is boosted by broadcasting quartz aggregate between coats which creates the slip resistant surface.
Coloured chips may also be added to the aggregate creating a more aesthetic appearance.
From start to finish, the total floor surface refurbishment application was completed within 24 hours causing minimum disruption to the distribution activity.
