Over 20,000 sq metres of the concourse areas of the stadium have been surfaced with resin flooring systems produced by Sika and installed by Phoenix Industrial Flooring.

The new 60,000 capacity Emirates Stadium, home of Arsenal Football Club, was completed in August 2006, in time for the start of the 2006/07 season Over 20,000 sq metres of the concourse areas of the stadium have been surfaced with resin flooring systems produced by Sika and installed by Phoenix Industrial Flooring of Cannock, West Midlands

The concourse areas are throughout the stadium complex linking the offices, directors hospitality and kitchen areas through to public refreshment areas and washrooms.

Many of the raw concrete floors were first levelled with Sikafloor Level 25 to provide a good surface to receive a high build application of the coloured epoxy resin system Sikafloor 261.

This provides a very durable and hard wearing surface.

In order to meet the precise requirements for the slip resistance value of the floor surface, an application of Sikafloor 261 Thixo was then applied.

This thixotropic system allows the creation a textured finish providing excellent slip resistance.

The specialist epoxy resin, anti-static system Sikafloor 262AS was installed in the extensive plant rooms.

The Emirates Stadium was a massive construction project covering 17 acres, construction started in February 2004.

The overall project cost was £390 million.

Height of the new stadium is 42 metres and the four tiers of seating are covered by a roof of 27,000sq m.

There are 41 TV camera positions, 150 executive boxes and over 900 WCs together with 370 metres of urinals.
