The ability to withstand regular steam cleaning is one of the essential criteria for floor surfaces in food production and processing areas This ability has established Sikafloor Purcem as one of the foremost systems installed within the food industry

Sikafloor Purcem is a water-based, coloured polyurethane resin floor screed that is applied to the regular concrete floor.

This creates a jointless, slip resistant surface that is easily maintained, is steam-cleanable and highly resistant to chemicals and abrasion.

In recent months installations have been completed for companies involved in various aspects of the food industry.

An example is the 2000 square metre floor at Soy Magic UK in Grimsby.

Soy Magic produces soy-based drinks, tofu, yoghurt and desserts.

Similarly, the concrete factory floor at seafood processors, Sea Lord Foods at Caistor in Lincolnshire has received a surface of the Sikafloor Purcem system.

Both installations were carried out by specialist contractors Grimsby Resin Floors .

The Sikafloor Purcem system has also been installed in the milking parlour of a dairy farm in Motherwell and at abattoirs in Linlithgow and Hampshire.

Sikafloor Purcem meets the industry standards specified by the Camden and Chorleywood Food Research Association (CCFRA).
