Industrial flooring news from Sika
Company involved in extracting the juice from apples and other fruit has recently installed Sikafloor Purcem 20N, a specialist flooring system from Sika at their processing plant in Somerset.
The Thatchers Cider Company have converted a warehouse into a juice storage tank room and the refurbished floor surface needed to be hard wearing, resistant to corrosive acids and able to withstand the heat from regular high-pressure steam cleaning Specialist flooring contractors Protective Coating Systems (UK) of Chippenham specified Sikafloor Purcem 20N, a coloured polyurethane screed system that is widely used for the food processing industry
Sikafloor-N Purcem technology is water based, providing environmentally friendly application by contractors and taint-free properties that will not taint food or food packaging.
The range is suitable for extreme environments, can be steam cleaned without fear of damage to the surface and produces an extremely durable, jointless floor that is slip and abrasion resistant.
