Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Aug 24, 2010

Sika Watertight Concrete has been incorporated into the design of the Cromwell Stand, at Huntingdon Racecourse which is prone to flooding.

It was essential to protect the various facilities at ground floor level from water ingress.

Lafarge supplied Sika Watertight Concrete to the project to construct the lift pits and floor slab.

BBA certified Sika Watertight Concrete is a high performance, cost effective solution in comparison to membranes and other water proofing systems.

As the need for complex detailing and installation is eliminated, time is saved at both the design and construction stages.

It also delivers the maximum usable area to the developer.
