Head of Silent Gliss UK to retire
Ray Wharton, Managing Director and Chairman of Silent Gliss , is retiring after almost 30 years with the company.
Ray Wharton, Managing Director and Chairman of Silent Gliss , is retiring at the end of the year after almost 30 years with the Company After completing his MBA in the USA in 1968, Ray moved back to the UK and into marketing with such giants as BOC, Rank and Burtons before joining the Window Treatment Industry via Rufflette in Europe

Silent Gliss is now the biggest subsidiary of the Swiss -based Silent Gliss Group and recently moved into purpose -built 60000 ft 2 (6000 m2) Head Office and Factory premises in Broadstairs,Kent-almost doubling capacity.
Hugh Gage, a director at Silent Gliss and well known in the industry, will take over as MD of Silent Gliss and Bernie Keens will continue to run Novatec .
