Simmtronic, a leading manufacturer of fully addressable lighting control systems for corporate developments, has recently restructured engineering operations.

PRESS RELEASE 14/06/06 SIMMTRONIC BEEFS-UP ITS COMMISSIONING and MAINTENANCE SERVICES Simmtronic, a leading manufacturer of fully addressable lighting control systems for corporate developments, has recently restructured engineering operations in a major enhancement of its customer service provision It has given three of its senior engineers full project responsibilities, expanded the team of commissioning engineers and introduced multi-level maintenance contracts

The Company has also created a new 'Small-works' department dedicated to ensuring that existing lighting control schemes are updated quickly in response to building churns and changes.

Each new project will be allocated to one of the senior engineers who, using the resources one of the largest teams of fully employed commissioning engineers in the lighting controls business, will oversee the production, supply logistics and through to final commissioning.

In this role they will provide clients with a direct channel of responsibility and be available for regular site visits during installation.

Once a system is installed and commissioned, facilities managers increasingly want the reassurance and value of a good maintenance contract.

Simmtronic offers users of its SPECS3 systems a standard maintenance agreement including bi-annual visits and a 48-hour call-out response, or a more comprehensive service with additional features like extended warranties and free software upgrades.

Over and above these, individual maintenance service contracts can be specially tailored for clients to incorporate any specific individual requirements.

The new 'Small-works' department has been tasked with getting lighting control schemes updated quickly, in response to building churns and changes.

The prompt actioning of these after-sales requirements has been identified as an important factor in Simmtronic's high customer satisfaction ratings and 'Small-works' has enabled this to be achieved without a need to divert commissioning engineers away from current projects.

Simmtronic director, Mario Costanzo commented: "The restructuring of our engineering operations is already proving a success - both internally and with our clients".

"Instead of the same engineers being responsible for commissioning large projects, fulfilling maintenance requirements and undertaking small-works, we now have specialist teams for each of these disciplines, working to a schedule of works planned by senior engineers experienced in the field".

"The maintenance contracts are being well received by customers and our small-works department is already exceeding expectations".

Simmtronic is one of the country's leading manufacturers and suppliers of lighting control systems.

It has completed more than 600 commercial projects, supplying future-proof, fully addressable lighting control systems for many of the UK's largest and most prestigious corporate developments.
