Sierra announces lifetime warranty for sensors

Sierra Instruments has announced a lifetime warranty coverage for the Dry-Sense sensors in all Immersible Mass Flow Meters.

Sierra has incorporated its proprietary Dry-Sense technology into products since the 1990's.

Sierra offers the lifetime warranty on all Dry-Sense sensors in the Sierra Model 640S, 670S and 780S (non UHP) Immersible Thermal Mass Flow Meters, sold after 1 January 2010.

Traditional sensors use organics like glues and epoxies to fix the sensor core in place.

The wet sensors have organics that crack and change composition over time, losing accuracy and resulting in a need for re-calibration.

Sierra uses a proprietary manufacturing process and patented design that uses no organics, and thus is dry.

As a result, Sierra's Dry-Sense sensors don't drift over time and hold their original calibration.
