Silverdell PLC acquires asbestos consultants Redhill Analysts.

AIM listed Silverdell plc acquire asbestos and environmental consultants Redhill Analysts Limited in a deal worth GBP10 million Silverdell plc chief executive Danny T Spicer said: "This is another significant step in our stated aim to become the leader in the UK asbestos services industry through offering clear, expert and professional solutions"

"Redhill Analysts is a well-established market leader, known for its client-led strategies".

"The company will continue to operate as an independent business under the Redhill Analysts brand along side our removal and management contractor Silverdell (UK) Limited." Added Mr Spicer: "We can now offer a seamless asbestos service, which will not only bring our clients cost savings but a heightened degree of clarity and efficiency at every stage of the asbestos management process".

"Both Silverdell (UK) and Redhill Analysts have enviable, unblemished health and safety records and are acknowledged leaders in their fields".

"Both are innovators that have pioneered improvements to working methods, health and safety and contract management".

Rob Blackburn, managing director of Redhill Analysts, said: "Our professional working relationship with Silverdell (UK) goes back 20 years and is built on merit, performance and value, so this is a natural progression".

"We have worked together on significant contracts such as The Old Admiralty Building and the Royal Festival Hall and are currently both engaged on the Shell Centre refurbishment".

"This deal will give Redhill Analysts a significant platform for growth enabling us to further extend our services nationwide".

Robust internal quality and auditing systems already provide clear, concise and proportionate advice - and is an ethos across both businesses "Our past and our future are based on our relationships with our customers and we will be very mindful of that going forward" added Mr Blackburn.

The enlarged group will have nine offices, mainly in the South East, Yorkshire and the Midlands, and a combined staff of 350.

There will be no redundancies and the existing management teams will remain in place.

Said Mr Spicer: "The UK asbestos services market is estimated to be worth at least GBP10 billion over time and is growing at 25% a year".

"It is regulated by a myriad of legislation".

"We aim to grow by giving clear, professional advice".

"Our intention is to create a leading, nationwide asbestos-focused services provider based on the delivery of a clear proportionate service.".
