Silverdell appoints new Finance Director

Leading UK asbestos services provider, Silverdell, announce that it has appointed a new Finance Director.

Award Winning Silverdell Plc and leading UK asbestos services provider, is pleased to announce that it has today appointed Chris Sims as the Company's Finance Director, effective immediately.

Chris brings over fifteen years of PLC experience from the construction and support services sectors.

From 1999 to 2007 he was Finance Director and Company Secretary of Brandon Hire PLC, one of the UK's leading tool hire companies.

During Chris's time at Brandon Hire he oversaw the growth of the business from turnover of GBP23m to GBP57m and negotiated and integrated around 20 acquisitions.

From 1988 to 1999 he was Finance Director at Bakers Dolphin (a South West based travel agency chain) and helped grow the business from a turnover of GBP20m to GBP100m.
