Following a successful audit by UKATA (The United Kingdom Asbestos Training Association), Silverdell Academy for Excellence (SAFE) has been awarded membership.

This means that SAFE are recognised by UKATA for delivering Asbestos Awareness and Non-Licensed asbestos training to a sufficiently high standard, and to work alongside the Health and Safety Executive's Asbestos Licensing Unit in establishing the highest possible industry training standards for the Association's members.

The ultimate aim of UKATA is to ensure that any asbestos training delivered in the UK is done at the highest standard, delivered by competent trainers and that the recipients of the training understand and are competent in their respective tasks and roles.

"We are extremely proud that SAFE has been accepted as a member, and we fully intend to actively participate in helping achieve the Associations' aims" said Chris Bishop, Head of Training, SAFE.

SAFE has recently delivered various training courses to Silverdell's prestigious clients, including management training to MACE and ISG, and is about to start rolling out Asbestos Awareness training to the sub-contractors working on Marks and Spencer's refurbishment projects via the SAFE mobile training unit.

The Silverdell Group provide managed solutions for asbestos, industrial, remediation and environmental services for large and small projects nationally.

Working with partners in public, private, construction and industrial markets, we are committed to creating an improved environment in which to live and work.
