Products

In the true spirit of open systems, SIXNET now includes the popular "Boa" web server as part of the standard firmware installed on each IPm product.

This general public license (GPL) Linux application serves standard web pages that can be viewed with any browser SIXNET's IPm line of Linux based open industrial automation products currently includes the SixTRAK IPm Open DCS Controller and the VersaTRAK IPm Remote Terminal Unit (RTU)

The addition of the Boa web server to the IPm firmware provides users with the option of creating their own web based solutions for their automation needs using common HTML/web development languages and tools.

Sample PERL scripts for accessing information from within the IPm unit are also included in the firmware.

Web applications can be installed on IPm units using standard FTP utilities or the SIXNET I/O Tool Kit software (users must license the "web server accessibility" option of the I/O Tool Kit software to access IPm I/O registers in their web pages).

A live demonstration of web-based process monitoring on the SixTRAK IPm Open DCS Controller can be viewed at www.sixnetio.com by selecting the "IPm in Action" link. Request a free brochure from Sixnet ...
