SkidProof anti-slip treatment for oak sleepers

Unique SkidProof anti-slip treatment provides non-slip safety to oak sleepers at the newly revitalised Pheonix Park.

SkidProof International were involved in the project at Phoenix Park, Blakenhall Nr Wolverhampton, which has revitalised a piece of wasteland, transforming it into a nature trail to provide a valuable, much-needed resource for local schools and the whole community.

SkidProof were asked to apply an anti-slip treatment and seal the 250 square metres of oak sleepers that were installed as walkways and edgings.

The SkidProof anti-slip treatment not only provides the much needed anti-slip surface but as it doesn't promote the growth of bacteria ( it is a non-culture medium), it will minimise the build up of moss and lychen.

SkidProof is ideal for all types of wood and when you consider that twenty years ago, timber decking was a niche market with estimated sales of around GBP5m and today its market value is nearer GBP130m - and growing.

The decking market has been crying out for such a product.
