Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team Jun 18, 2007

A member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants for England and Wales since 1988, Andy Colls, 44, has been appointed as the new finance director for Skipton Properties.

With over 20 years in the financial industry and a strong background in the house building sector, Andy Colls, 44, has been appointed as the new finance director for Skipton Properties.

A member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants for England and Wales since 1988, Andy has previously been employed as finance director for George Wimpey South Yorkshire and chief accountant for David Wilson Homes and Steetley Quarry Products.

"I hope to move the business forward and improve on the existing systems and financial management," says Andy.

"Skipton Properties is a growing but established company with lots of potential.

Its a step away from the volume house builders I am used to, Skipton Properties is really focused on customer satisfaction, has an individual build style, is proud of its heritage and looks after its employees." Currently living in Chesterfield, Andy is so impressed with Skipton Properties homes he is relocating to the exclusive Heatherside development in Gilstead, Bingley, with his partner Diana.

In his spare time, Andy can be found skiing and scuba diving and also enjoys taking underwater photographs.

He is the treasurer and a director/trustee of the Marine Conservation Society, the UK's leading marine environmental charity.

Established in 1986, Skipton Properties, based in Crosshills, is one of the region's most respected residential property developers with a reputation for quality design, high standards of workmanship and build.

The company provides high quality domestic housing with most of its current projects based on brownfield sites along Keighley's Worth Valley area and Bingley canal frontage.
