A roofing specialist who has invented an innovative tool for fibre roof slate is 'going global'.

Slate Rivet Guide , based in Cheshire, was set up by Frank and Sandra Cain who have developed a specially patented tool that puts an end to rivet guesswork in fibre cement slate.

'Riv Pro' has sparked huge interest from the roofing industry, builders and engineers because it speeds up slating time and offers maximum rivet success rate, with no guesswork.

Frank Cain, who has spent most of his career working in the roofing industry, said: "I spotted a gap in the market for a specialist tool to overcome the problems of copper rivets in fibre cement slate".
