Smedegaard celebrate 25yrs in the UK
Leading Danish pump manufacturer Smedegaard is celebrating 25 years of trade in its UK operations base.
The leading Danish pump manufacturer, with a worldwide reputation is celebrating 25 years of trade in its UK operations base Smedegaard Pumps began life in Denmark in 1942, and in 1982 established a small base in Bridgwater, Somerset to produce their pumps and pressure booster equipment

As the UK arm grew, larger premises were needed which were later substantially extended to accommodate additional staff and manufacturing facilities.
The Bridgwater factory now manufactures a comprehensive range of pressurisation equipment for sealed heating and chilled water systems, together with pressure booster sets covering domestic/commercial, industrial and fire fighting applications.
General Manager of Smedegaard UK, Mr Chris Barrett, believes that the company's success is due to the team spirit within the organisation, their technical expertise, rapid response time with quotations and the willingness of sales, administration and workshop personnel to assist in meeting customers' specific requirements.
"All in all" he commented "I am extremely proud of the workforce here in Bridgwater and attribute much of our success to their enthusiasm and loyalty".
With an impressive client list including the Globe Theatre, London, the University of Bristol, the Langham Hilton and Claridge's, Mayfair, London, Smedegaard UK has pledged that it will continue to develop its manufacturing capability and ensure the manufacture of a quality product the end user can trust.
"We are proud of our 25 years in the UK" added Mr Barrett "and we are aiming to develop and quietly expand over the next couple of decades at least".
"After all, when you think of it, Smedegaard pumps are now being used throughout the world and certainly in a great number of new installations in Great Britain!".
