Steni reveals sparkling composite panels at BEST
Steni UK will be showing its latest range of cladding panels at the BEST exhibition, introducing enhanced sparkling black and white variants of composite panels.
A frequent exhibitor at BEST (Built Environment Solutions and Technologies), formerly Interbuild, Steni has extended its composite range of panels with sparkling black and white variants.
The enhanced deigns bring a cost effective wow factor to public sector refurbishment projects particularly, but are also suitable for private sector and new-build developments in the healthcare, education, residential, commercial and industrial sectors.
The company will not reveal how the sparkling effect has been created on its fibreglass reinforced polymer composite panels.
Suitable as an alternative to render and heavy cast materials, Steni's lightweight (as light as 11kg/m) panels are quickly installed using a variety of fixing methods ranging from treated timber battens to profiled aluminium or steel grids.
Resistant to fire (Class O), weather, UV rays, water, chemicals, shock and impact, the panels are available in 24 natural stone colours as well as sparkling white and black and in five grades ranging from fine micro (1.2mm) to tumbled (12mm).
Halogen-free and considered inert (chemical-neutral) materials, they can also be recycled.
Additionally low-maintenance, they are easily cleaned with high-pressure hot water.
Awarded an expected functional durability period of 60 years by the Norwegian Building Research Institute, Steni's panels are accompanied by a warranty of 25 years.
Steni's flagship Colour panels will laso be showcsed at BEST, featuring a smooth surface of 100 per cent acrylic that is electron beam cured without the use of solvents.
Steni Colour is available in 44 standard colours and almost any special colour from the NCS-, RAL- or BS- colour system as well as in three gloss levels.
Their counterpart for interior applications, Steni Effect, is suitable as a wall and internal lining panel in offices, public areas, car washes/wet rooms, the food industry and changing rooms/restrooms, with an optional waterproof fixing system.
Steni Effect is available in 40 standard colours.
Steni Nature, a panel with a surface of crushed natural stones sourced from throughout Europe, is offered in 24 colours and up to five grades (ranging from fine micro to coarse tumbled) in many of the colours, with special stone available for bigger projects.
Steni Imago is a panel with a surface of ceramic-coloured fine natural stone.
The ceramic-colouring process, at temperatures of more than 900C, enables Steni to achieve the special colours with a high level of UV resistance.
This product gives an impression of a smooth, matt surface, not unlike plaster, and is available in 11 standard colours and four mixed colours.
The Steni brand also incorporates the Stoneflex portfolio of cladding panels specifically designed for the modular building industry.
Class O compliant, these are glass fibre reinforced polyester resin, built up to provide a surface finish of natural stone, and are available in 11 natural stone colours and in four aggregate sizes.
The Stoneflex portfolio also includes Stoneflex Brick - a practical and attractive alternative to full brickwork and brick slips.
Glass fibre reinforced panels, they recreate the traditional appearance of natural bricks but can be installed offsite and in a fraction of the time it would take to build a similar conventional structure.
Steni's stand at BEST will also illustrate how the manufacturer caters for floors as well as facades, by featuring its Antislip flooring for ramps, step covers, walkways, pontoons, bridges and deckings.
The fine aggregate surface of these glass fibre polyester resin and stone panels is over-bonded with clear resin to give a high-performance and durable anti-slip surface on timber, metal and concrete.
Steni will be exhibiting on Stand 05-C90 at BEST which takes place on 18-20 October at the NEC.
