SeNd Technology has launched a micro GSM modem designed exclusively to fit into the Mitsubishi Alpha 2 miniPLC.
Main The GSM Comfort + is a self-contained, din rail mounted temperature controller with temperature probe input and relay output.
Options for an extra input and outputs are available.
The GSM Comfort+ can send custom SMS messages to multiple recipients when the temperature rises or falls above preset limits.
Remote users can control and monitor their heating/cooling system from anywhere in the GSM World! This compact, simple device can be programmed from your mobile either on site or remotely and there is also the option of a serial port version for more advanced features such as scheduled events, token control or time limited access.
Access to the outputs are secure as device uses caller line ID.
The range also has an option for battery back-up should power failure be a concern.
A typical application may be for refrigerated cold store.
The cold store temperature suddenly rises.
As a result GSM Comfort+ sends a SMS message to the local service engineer and informs the central office.
It switches the output ON to restart the chiller and when the desired temperature is met, sends the engineer a message to prevent a wasted trip! Two versions are available: one with a built in antenna and one with external antenna.
All devices are dual band allowing low cost pay-as-you-go SIMs to be used from all the major networks in the UK and internationally.
