Ductwork specialist strengthens board

Senior Hargreaves has strengthened the board with the appointment of Phil Johnson as director of Ductshops.

Heating and ventilation ductwork and component supplier, Senior Hargreaves, has strengthened the board with the appointment of Phil Johnson as director of Ductshops.

The appointment reflects the importance that the company attaches to its Ductshop trade supply operation, currently undergoing a major modernisation and national expansion programme.

Phil has spent his entire career in the heating, ventilating and contracting industry.

Starting as an apprentice with Hargreaves in 1975, he left the company in 1985 and progressed through sales and marketing positions to become national sales manager with a component supplier before rejoining the company in 2003.

Phil holds a postgraduate diploma in management studies from Bolton Institute of Higher Education and other vocational qualifications.

"Having spent nearly two decades outside Hargreaves selling to small and medium contractors, I understand their needs and methods of working".

"The new Ductshops reflect this experience with extended product ranges and streamlined services so that contractors can buy everything they need in one quick convenient trip," Phil explained.

Hargreaves national expansion will see the opening of a new East London Ductshop and the relocation and modernisation of the Leeds Ductshop in 2006.

Other locations are under consideration.

Phil has been married for 25 years and lives in Bury near Manchester with his wife and three teenage daughters.

He is a lifelong supporter of Bury FC and CAMRA member.
