Resilient, High Performance Power
Designed to meet most rigorous power requirements, Socomec's range of LTM's (static transfer systems) has been extended to include units rated from 630 up to 4800Amp and a 3 or 4 pole 400 Amp version.
Ensuring a manual or automatic no break transfer of a critical load, between a variety of power sources, Socomec LTMs are available as stand-alone modules or as integrated panels within PDU's and switchboards To maintain critical power, Electronic data processing systems need an uninterrupted electrical supply and consistent voltage

Socomec UPS has supplied ten of its high spec Digys UPS systems to electrical contractor, Field Systems Design to back up the tunnel lighting and control systems at Dartford Thurrock Crossing.
Reliable Power Forecast
Socomec Sicon UPS recently installed a comprehensive solution to back the power supply at the new Met Office HQ building, at Exeter.
UPS systems are normally ideal for these applications.
Nevertheless, despite the use of a UPS (single unit or parallel system) the loads are not totally protected against failures in the supply or distribution source such as spurious breaking of protection devices, incorrect handling, damaged cables.
In order to avoid the hazardous repercussions of such failures, the solution is to provide users with two power sources (two distinct power supplies) synchronous inverters installed in separate rooms.
The Load Transfer Module (LTM) performs an automatic and seamless load transfer, without disturbing the connected loads, from the main source to an emergency power source.
The user defines the priority source.
The LTM logic monitors permanently the voltage of each source and performs a load transfer to the emergency source in the event of a serious fault in the main source.
Socomec's LTM also offer the advantages of totally separate loads.
In the event of a load fault (e.g short circuit) the LTM will lock the transfer in order not to disturb the other loads.
The UPS upstream of the LTM systems can be of different ranges and powers.
Socomec has been supplying Load Transfer modules for 15 Years.
They meet international and European directives as well as the current European standards demanded by manufacturers of computers and sensitive electronic equipment.
