Solid Air receive ISO 9001:2000

Leading air distribution product supplier Solid Air has been awarded ISO9001 accreditation by Quality Management Systems.

Leading air distribution product supplier Solid Air has been awarded ISO9001 accreditation by Quality Management Systems (QMS).

They are the latest subsidiary of Nijburg Investment Group to receive this award, the main factory having had the quality award in place for more than 10 years.

Sales and engineering offices or sales representatives form a vital part in the quality chain for any manufacturer as they are the parts of the business that interact with the customer.

It is common however for the headquarters and manufacturing centre to have the ISO9001 award but not their subsidiaries.

This means their quality system is not fully integrated from start to finish.

Nijburg and Solid Air have a policy to ensure all subsidiary offices around the world implement ISO quality management systems and become certified parts of the operation.

Colin Green, General Manager of Solid Air commented 'we are an expanding company and it is important for our customers that we maintain our high quality service.

We see ISO9001 as a means to do this and to ensure our processes are audited and kept up-to-date, right from the initial customer enquiry.

We also feel the time and effort required to win the award, demonstrates our commitment to training and investment to our employees.' In addition to receiving the award they have further strengthened their operation in Altrincham by recruiting Chris Houlihan as an estimator.

Chris will enable Solid Air to provide a quicker turnaround on project quotations for consultants and contractors alike.
