Solid Air staff achieve NVQ success

A Solid Air product story
Edited by the Buildingtalk editorial team May 7, 2010

Staff at Solid Air's Royair 2007 subsidiary have been presented with NVQ Level 2 certificates after completing a programme in Performing Manufacturing Operations.

The achievement is particularly pleasing as 3 years ago most of the team of 10 production staff were made redundant after the previous business went into administration.

Since the acquisition of the assets from the administrator, by Dutch company Nijburg Industry BV, the renamed Royair 2007 has seen investment in machinery, technology as well as staff training.

This has enabled the business to not only survive but to grow in the current turbulent economic conditions.

Royair 2007 is an internal factory supplier for specialist air terminal manufacturer Solid Air and is now producing almost 60 per cent of its UK sales requirement, in addition to exporting products to the Dutch parent company.
