Solid Air is expanding its manufacturing and support operations in the UK with the opening of a HQ facility at Dunkeswell in Devon.

Solid Air, part of Nijburg Industry Group of the Netherlands, has been in operation in the UK since 1998.

This new facility marks the next milestone in its UK expansion following on from the purchase of the product range and manufacturing facilities of Royair in July 2007.

Colin Green, Solid Air's UK managing director commented: "Despite the economic conditions of the last two years we have continued to make steady inroads into the UK market and are manufacturing more and more products here in the UK.

These new facilities double the office space we have available and give us an enhanced customer service facility, unfortunately our Altrincham office will be closing in September with all activities relocating".

In addition to the extra customer support services, the Dunkeswell facility adds a further 260m2 of production space to Solid Air's existing manufacturing operations located in Exeter.
