Somfy opens first european interactive showroom and training centre for architects and specifiers - for demonstrating dynamic facade solutions
Somfy, the world's leading provider of controls and motors for the automatic movement of solar shading, doors, shutters and windows has opened its first European showroom for architects and specifiers at the Business Design Centre, Islington, London The state-of-the-art venue, which has been established to showcase Somfy's dynamic window and facade solutions, will also become the company's first London office and customer training centre

"Somfy's objective is to bridge the gap in the market and provide cost-effective, energy-saving solutions for 21st Century living architecture," pointed out Geraldine Mostachfi, Somfy's International Specification Manager.
As a member of both the RIBA CPD providers network and Construction CPD Certification Service, the company has scheduled a programme of CPD seminars on the benefits of eco-friendly buildings.
These educative and informative programmes will also consider ways in which Somfy's dynamic facade solutions can contribute towards energy-efficient, living and working environments.
More recently, Somfy was official sponsor of a RIBA competition to design and construct a new Cafe Bar for its Grade II listed London head office.
The winner will be announced in mid-March.
