New Heliosa Electric Infrared Heaters

Ultra efficient for use both indoors and out, the new Heliosa units heat people and objects but not the ambient air.

News that the UK Government has issued a White Paper on Public Health announcing a ban on smoking in most enclosed public areas is leading many pubs, restaurants, offices and factories to create outdoor smoking areas for their customers and employees Scott Products, the expert in the distribution of heating and cooling solutions, is launching its new range of outdoor and patio heaters, the Heliosa electric infrared appliances, which is ideal for this purpose

Ultra efficient for use both indoors and out, the new Heliosa units heat people and objects but not the ambient air.

Heliosa heaters present the ideal retail prospect for DIY and hardware retailers, builders merchants and garden centres.

These innovative units use top quality Philips HeLeN tubes which emit short-wave infrared thereby offering a substantial 92% efficiency unlike traditional halogen heaters that emit medium-wave infrared which is only 38% efficient.

Moreover, Philips HeLeN tubes are able to deliver instant heat and enjoy a 7000 hours life in comparison to the 1000-2000 hours life of conventional halogen units.

What's more, Philips bulbs suffer no degradation of power during their life, they emit no UV or other harmful radiation and are easy to replace.

Heliosa appliances further benefit users because they feature precision made, parabolic reflectors, designed to deliver maximum efficiency within the zone to be heated.

Even the best short-wave tube is only truly efficient if fitted in a housing with a precision made, parabolic reflector since 40% of the delivered heat is generated by the bulb and 60% by the reflector.

This is because infrared heat is directional, like a beam of light.

With Helios units, heat can be accurately targeted and running costs are significantly reduced.

The Heliosa outdoor heater features a waterproof cast aluminium housing and tempered protective glass lens, and is perfect for use in patios, terraces and outdoor smoking areas.

The units are supplied without lead and plug, ready to be wired to supply.

They are normally wall mounted while they can also be mounted onto features such as lights and parasols, especially in the case of pub and restaurant gardens and terraces.

Alternatively, the outdoor Heliosa can be supplied as a free-standing heater, ready-wired, complete with tripod stand, 10m of cable and an RCD safety plug.

The Heliosa outdoor heater achieves good retail margins, whilst reducing running costs by around a third.

Additionally, it is easier to stock than LPG Patio Heaters, taking less shelf space.

Heliosa indoor heaters are ideal for use at home, at workshop or in the workplace.

They are available in two models: the Heliosa Varma Spot heater-1.3kW and the Heliosa Gold heater-2.0kW.

Both models are supplied with 2.5 metre wire and plug and they are suitable for wall mounting or for use with the stylish stand with the solid base and the gold coloured fittings.

The Scott Heliosa heaters retail from £139.95 for a 1.3kW wall-mounted model and are guaranteed for two years. Request a free brochure from Scott Products ...
